They aren't markings, but a slight constriction where the undamaged tail becomes the regenerated tail. So picture normal tail, 2 mm of regen tail, constriction/ring, 2mm regen tail, constriction/ring, regenerated tail. There is a definate end to the scales, then a re-starting of a line of scales, between each 2mm or less "ring". I'm paranoid I'm going to cause him to drop his tail again out of stress!
:What do you mean by rings? Do you mean the markings on the tail like the ones on the belly? Or are they distinct cut-offs like the one where the tail turns from greenish to brown where the regenerated tail begins?
