My iguana doesn't exactly love to be handled either, but he accepts it and sometimes does enjoy it. You just need to give it time and show as much love as possible. He really needs to trust you fully in every way possible. Eventually, even if he doesn't care for it, he'll allow it once he trusts you more, and doesn't envision you eating him. BTW, a cage can't be too big. Just go at him/her slowly when picking him/her up, and try to corner him/her. You could also spend time in the cage with it like I do sometimes, as I built a cage which is 7'high, 8'long and 4'deep, and he loves it, and uses anything which I put in there for him to enjoy. Your ig will come around, but always remember that it will likely never be like a dog. Iguanas usually only accept you, although to me it appears that they can and do love us, they still reserve fear for us, just as they would for members of their own species that are higher up in the social order, which is how they view us, at least they should if raised properly. Your ig shouldn't be allowed on your head btw, since it makes them think they are superior to you and they will no longer listen to you if you allow it. Sorry for vearing off topic.
