Maybe you could tell them about the costs... and what a sick iguana might DO if they were hurting, sick and aggressive... like try to EAT them... or maybe just be truthful... you probably have a better reading of the people than we can... so you'll know if it's better or not. A LOT of people, even if they don't provide well for their animals will gladly give away the mistreated pets when faced with a,

"Hey... yanno, that iguana is really supposed to be in a cage roughly 5 TIMES the size that it is, and the way you're treating it will lead to illness and death and I would LOVE to take it off your hands..."

Just my two cents. That would make me really mad too. They have specific needs and they SHOULD be cared for. ::cuddles her big Queen baby...::

Angel, Jewel and her pink blankie

: There's a woman who is a costumer In the bagel shop I work in. Her name is Barbara. Her 16 year old Daughter Has a female Ig (get this) named "Rap". From what I gather The Rap is about 7-8 years old and about 42-43 inches STL. Barbara doesn't want the Ig. SHe and her husband have devoriced and the Daughter (and Rap) are with the father now. I offered to take Rap and find her a good home. Barbara is all for it cause Rap is now being taken cared for well (Red leaf Lettuce and cantalope are her daily diet) and, According to Barbara, "She's not getting enough attention". I found out what they are keeping this ig in today. They made a tank out of plexi glass. It's about 1 foot wide, 5-6 feet long, and about 2 feet tall. A 43 INCH IG IN A 2 FOOT TALL TANK!!!!!!!!!! AND there's a hot rock in there!!!!!!!!!!! ANd the substrate is .... SAW DUST! I almost blew a gasket! I didn't let that show though. I remained nice and calm. She told her ex about me and all he said was to stay in contact with me. What that means, no one has a clue. But we'll see. GOD I hope they give me that Ig. Wouldn't mind having the tank either. I'm thinking of getting a BD. THAT'D BE PERFECT! :) LOL But seriously, Can you think of anything I could say to her to get her to force or convince Her Ex that's it's best for Rap to LET HER GO!?? I'm sooo worried about her. The diet Barbara wasn't much better but at least SHE gave the Ig calcium! The Ex doesn't want to be bothered! He doesn't even MIST HER!! Please help me think of something to do! I'm sssooo worried about her.
