A month after i bought it it became infested with mites. i tcleaned his cage regularly and checked him but one night i guess they just came out of hiding because the were climbing in and out of his nose and eyes. I just want to point out my stupidity to all looking to buy. I dont trust petco anymore except for fish. I liked the looks of the spineys though (just for the record)
