zilla has just started gettin weird on us the past week or so. last year he had a bad accident (ran away for a few MONTHS!) and injured his spine, and so he didn't go into breeding season for very long i think. but this year, he's already starting to act funny. for the first time since we built him his new cage, he's actually climbed to the bottom and waited for someone to open the cage door so he can explore (try to find a mate perhaps?). i think he must remember seeing his reflection in the mirror before cause he runs straight for the bathroom where my g/f will usually pick him up and show him his reflection (from a distance). the only reaction we used to get is sometimes he would puff up and do a little head bobbing. but now she tells me yesterday and the day before she showed him his reflection and he sits real still, then turns real bright green, and does this weird twitch thing with his head (different from his head-bobs). i told her i think it's time she stops showing him his reflection for a while. ;)
btw, your iguana looks really nice! much more masculine than zilla is, with his big bulges on the back of his head and nicely developed jowles. you must be proud. :D
