In Reply to: What to cover outside of wire cage with for winter months? posted by catsandlizards on October 07, 2002 at 15:35:54:
This is gonna be sooo easy you will slap yourself. Clear shower curtains. Find them for 2 or 3 bucks and if you need to replace they are just as cheap.

:Okay was going to get plexi glass pre cut and holes drilled and then attach to outside of cage myself by drilling into the wood attaching plexi.
:Now is there like any kind of fabric insulation or anything that I could use in place of plexi glass.
:Lizzy inside but in Chicago temps get colder and now her cage is much bigger than last year i need to keep the heat in more.
:I use a heater in the room when it gets like much colder than now but noticed this am her temps are a little to low even now.
:She currently has two 5.0 iguana lights, a ceramic heater and day basking light but at night these are off and only the ceramic and a night light are on her.
:Her cage is 5x5x3 and has been doing extremely well all summer but now to face the cold again. Last year she was in a smaller enclosure and I just used card board attached around on the outside, not the most visual or warming but it worked.
:Any suggestions would be appreciated.
:Lizzy and Linda.
