Well as the other person said, there was one constant. Also I dont know the shipping type of conditions if there are any, but I have seen a shipment of baby igs come in. There were 50 igs in the box that was the size of 2 10 gallon tanks next to each other. I think at least half were dead. These animals were malnourished to say the least, but they also had mites. So they get stuck into another small cage at the store, and have to fight for food. Usually the food is not that good for them. They then often move to another home, where care may or may not be good. See the pattern?
Iguanas in the wild are no where near as fragile as captive. First and formost, captive iguanas all do experience some level of stress being captive. They are still technically wild animals and not domesticated. So depending on the iguana itself it may be more sensitive to changes. Also more often than not there are underlying things. One thing we give them in captivity is a sense of comfort with the schedules. Thats why for us up here in the north have things set up on timers ect.. It is easier for us, but also keeps animals on constant. Yeah there is no schedule in the rainforest, but there also inst cages.

:How come I moved my igs from different cages, different apartments, different houses, different maids, different COUNTRIES and they just look the same??Thats why I didnt believe when people from the Brazilian site told me that and I even argued with them!!!If they are SO fragile how can iguanas survive on the wild?I suppose there is no routine on a forest...

::Yes they can. Iguanas and many reptiles are creatures of habit. I know people who have moved igs from one room to another and the ig went off feed and eventually died. Just think of it, when you go on vacation igs get mad. Mine wont eat til we are home again. But each animal handles stress differently.

:::I was talking with Brazilian iguana people, from the Brazilian site "Iguana Planet" and it seems that lots of them lost their iguanas (mainly babies and juvies) due to... stress! They say that they bought the iguanas and these iguanas died a few days or a few weeks or even a few months later because of the stress they felt during the move to one house to another...That sounds pretty weird to me...What do you think???
