i was wondering how long he is cuz i'm *still* trying to figure iZ's approx. age *grin*! iZ also came from someone who was totally ignorant as far as proper ig-care, so he was a skinny, scrawny and sick 10" svl ig when i met him ... i've always guessed that he was about 1 1/2 years old then ...
wow, he *doesn't* shut is eyes??? my understanding is that means he's *not* stressed (cuz he's not 'hiding') ... it took a long time for iZ to keep his eyes open when i was around!
and ... iZ gets dark when he's nice and warm and happy and relaxed ...(his head turns *white* when he's stressed! like at the vet's!) maybe you're doin' better than you thought?!? *grin*
the 1st nite iZ moved in, he slept in his water pan! he was so cold the next morning that i was sure he was dead! he did that the first 3 nites ... i think it was cuz he never had a water pan, liked it and wanted to make sure it didn't go away while he slept!?! maybe Harry feels the same way about having walls and stuff to climb on???
poor Lola! does she still manage to get around ok? it's amazing how much they use their tail for balance (not to mention defense!) just don't show her any pix of other females and she'll think the long tail is a *male* trait! (really don't want an ig with low self-esteem!) of course, if Harry turns out to be a she, we'll have to rethink *that* story!
looking forward to pix and updates!!! we like ig stories here! (*some* of us tend to ramble tho!!!) (oh, and poop stories are especially welcome! LOL) glad we can help you be a little less worried ... we're *all* worriers here so we know it's not pleasant!
hibiscus to nibble from iZ + his faithful human, mom
