As said previously, average is completely different than what they SHOULD live to, consiering how much abuse most go through!
Personally, I think 25+ is likely. The oldest I have is a 9-10 year old female. Even with 3 or so years of horrible living conditions before I got her, I'd bet on her hitting at least 18-20. (just to give you an indication, she is only 34" (13" STL) full growth. I consider her lucky, as the family that surrendered her also had a 1.5 year old that was 12" STL)
