I'm all for discouraging irresponsible morons from buying iguanas, but I'd rather do it through *honest* education. Convincing the public that iguanas are evil monsters isn't going to help igs very much in the long run. Why rescue an evil creature? Might as well just let the thing die, right? Who cares how badly they're treated - they're evil. I know that lots of people won't come to this sort of conclusion, but that's not the message I'd want to send to the morons.

:Kate, you are SO right. (We all know it..)
:But AT LEAST this kind of article discourages irresponsible morons looking for a "cool" pet to buy them by the 1000's from pet stroes! Very few people want an "Evil, agressive creature" wandering about their appartment.
