Poor Roxy :(

I am happy to hear she is eating but wish she were acting more sane!

:Roxy is alright....

:She still refuses to touch the ground in any way. I now fed her a bowl of food on her basking shelf. She has also perfected pooping from the branches and shelves it seems as she is going to the bathroom regularly although on the floor. She used to be trained to a water tub.

:She doesn't have to many violent fits anymore although I believe it was this time last week she had a semi-bad one. She accidently went to the ground/slipped and of course, FREAKED. She lunged at me for the rest of that day and a couple days after but has settled down a bit now.

:But at least she is eating right? :) She seems to be herself one day, then goes into a nasty monster who I am scared of the next. She tries to kill me one day, and get me to pet her the next. *Shrug* it sounds like male behaviour, but trust me this girl lays more than 30 eggs a season!

:I am very worried about her weight issue. She normally lays in January-March...that leaves me with 3-5 months in which to get some weight on her. I am afriad the non-eating spell took a large toll on her weight. She is very skin and bones in her mid section, although her tail is still well rounded and fat. Hasn't lost much there. Hopefully I can get her weight up to a safe place for the egg laying. She is 7 next year! An old lady to go through 50 eggs with little to no extra weight!

:Hope things work out well. For now I am really feeding her what she wants. Of course she is getting her staple collard greens and squash but lately I have been offering her more veggies from dinner like bell peppers, snow peas, etc in larger amounts that ever before. I also allowed her to have 1/4 a cup of rice last week. And a 1/4 cup wheat natural pasta the week before. I am hoping this incentive to eat will help her put on some weight! But don't worry. Its mostly collards and winter squashes for the majority of her diet! :)

:marisa
