you didn't say what you tried last time ... but here's what works for me + iZ ...
wear long sleeves! use a nice thick bath towel to wrap around Mav ... have 2 syringes ready, one with the medicine and one with a drink of water (maybe slightly flavored with her fav fruit ...) hopefully, the med can be given in one or two squirts! and then (hopefully) before she freaks too much, get a squirt of water inthere to rinse out the med taste ... i've also rubbed the tip of the med syringe in kiwi or orange (iZ's fav!) ... it seems like a dirty trick, but can throw them off the track just long enough to get their mouth open and the meds in ...
iZ always opened his mouth in a most co-operative way ... after that, if you can squirt the med at the *back* of her tongue/mouth, she won't taste it as much ... (and won't be quite as mad)
talk calmly and soothingly ... especially if she's *not* calm ...
