Sounds great! My iguana LOVES looking out the window, so I think it's really cool that yours will be able to whenever she wants! The linoleum sounds good too. I found a cheap pre-cut piece of vinyl flooring at Home Depot and trimmed it to fit my igs cage. It has worked great. Seal all the edges well with silicone to make sure water won't get under it if iggy should dump her water. Also, you may want to have the humidifier to the side of the cage and rig up pvc to pipe it in to the cage at a higher level. When I first got a humidifier, I put it in the cage, but all the mist rose up, then settled right back down and condensed on the floor. It was a sloppy mess. Now I pipe it in to the top half of her cage, and it works great. Have fun with your lucky new ig!
:Thanks everyone,
:I am taking your advice. I do have a lead on a used very
:large enclosure. Also, a friend of mine is a carpenter and
:wants to see plans as he is happy to help me out. My plan
:is as follows: 5'long by 3' wide by 7'tall. Sides and back
:made out of wood with a cut-out on each side for ventilation.
:On the back I am having a cutout of about 40" by 20" with glass
:insert, this will be against the window so she can see outside.
:I have not decided about the top yet but I am thinking either
:screen or wood with screen insert for light placement. For
:the flooring I think plywood with linoleum. How does this
:sound to you guys? Anything I am overlooking? I will install
:a small humidifier at the bottom of the cage and the flooring
:will cover except for where the mist will come out so she cannot
:hurt herself on it. Oh, I almost forgot, the front will be
:glass with one side swinging out. Oh look, I am going on and on
:and.....
:Thanks everyone
