Thorn's tail regrowth gives me new hope for Amazon's stump. Things are definitely starting to happen down in Stumpland but right now it's a not-so-lovely shade of bluish black. Even if the regrown tail remains that dark, I'll still be happy knowing my iglet is healthy. An imperfect tail is a badge of honor. I sure wouldn't be willing to leave part of my own body behind in a getaway attempt.
Amazon's third eye is visible, but not that impressive. It's hard to tell from the poor picture quality, but it's been too gray and cold outside to get a good closeup in natural sunlight so I did the best I could with indoor lighting. There are 2 bumps on Amazon's head right behind the third eye, looking dark brown in this picture although they usually look rather orange to my own eye. Directy in front of those bumps is a smaller and lighter brown bump, with a cloudy gray lens visible in its center. I only see it well on days I'm wearing my glasses, though!
