<< Ill explain a lil further, she chewed on a long loose end during the morning or something, and my bf came back to blood. Her mouth looks ok, i couldnt see any damage, but then again, i am no vet/expert. Im hoping she will only do this with loose ends, which will be simple to fix, like you all said, remove the rope. Im worried abour her starting in other places.
Her rope is used as cargo nets, to hold up her hanging ledges (2) and connect them from each other and too the floor, hang her huge log from the roof and secure it too the ledge and to hold together her wood ladderfrom her window ledge to the floor. I havent talked to my bf yet, I will ask if she has started chewing anywhere else. <<

ok, NOW it makes sense! iZ has suspended logs, etc ~ with yellow rope ...

1st her mouth tho ~ is she cooperative at all with opening it for a few seconds so you can get a good look at her teeth + gum area??? i'd keep an eye on that for a few days - week (just cuz i'm paranoid) to make sure that where she did cut herself is healing up with no probs ... the mouth area tend to bleed ALOT even from a little scrape and so hopefully it's no big deal ... keep a close eye on her + it and head to the vet if there's any signs of swelling, irritation, continued bleeding, etc ... *geesh* ... don't i just SOUND like a MOM!!?? *grin*

got in bed last nite + all of a sudden wondered ~ WHAT COLOR is the rope????? am wondering if the fringed edges of it look like something nummy to eat?! ... igs are silly + IMO, very "toddler-like" ~ they'll play with/put things in their mouth, just cuz they CAN whether it tastes good or has any taste at all ... it's part of who they are ...

if it's just the fringed edges that are looking 'nummy' and it's nylon rope, that's easy to fix ~ slightly heat the ends of the rope and they will 'melt' and not fringe any more ...

if it's the entire rope that peaks her interest so much ... hmmmmmmm ... then we need to brainstorm ... not possibly to simply "do away" with it all ... *think think think*... you could replace it with metal chain, but that might be even WORSE, cuz it'd break teeth if she chomped on it ...

maybe covering the areas of the rope that she can get to with a length of plastic tubing???

maybe ... twist some 'silk' vines/leaves around those areas???

hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm ...

lemme know what's up + we'll see if we can figure out a solution this time 'round!

i have a feeling none of this made ANY sense .... :)
Bon.(i think I need more caffiene!)
