I started reading that "tosney" page. I LOVE that arm waving thing and bobbing at you thumb! That's GOT to be to cute to watch! I didn't realize they got 2 FEET LONG! How big is your guy again? I'll have to do a LOT more research when I get home (going on Vaca for a week and a half, leaving tomorrow). But I like the sound of these guys. Mom says they look like the horn toad She had when She was a kid. Only bigger. :P Thanx for the suggestion, XTA. THEY'RE SSSSOOOO CUTE! hehehe LOL
:Some people even make the basking spot 105, but I'd start out at 100degrees. They don't need a place to take baths. You can give them one once in awhile. Mine won't drink from a dish but I leave a little one in the cage anyway. I drip water on his nose with a syringe every couple days to encourage drinking. They can get water from veggies like igs though. Veggies are the same as igs. You must gut load crickets for 24 hours minimum (feed them nutritiously) before feeding them to your dragon. I use the veggies and some dragon pellets my dragon hates anyway. You must dust the crickets with calcium powder everytime except a couple times per week you can dust them with vitamins instead. They like to bask usually on a rock or log. They aren't big climbers like igs, but they climb some. They like to dig around. Some use sand but it can be harmful as they tend to ingest it. I choose the alfalfa pellets or the bran flakes for horses since it won't hurt them to eat those. Provide some shade. UV light is a must! Here are some links to help you.
