Melamine is way too heavy, brittle, and gets completely warped if some water seeps through the joints. I have had the best luck with making panels(plywood sheets framed with 2x4's), assembling them to make the cage, and lining the inside with Fiber-Reinforced Plastic(FRP). Home Depot and such stores normaly carry FRP sheets - they are a white, hard, fairly thin plastic, that is VERY easy to clean. Definitely check it out. My cage withstands humidity very well.

:Well its about time to be making Double D the enclosure of her dreams and her finally permant enclosure. She has a decent one now but since ive moved theres a TON more space to make her new enclosure.

:Now the demintions of her enclosure will be 5 feet deep, 7 feet long and at minimum her climbing hieght will be 7 1/2 feet tall, more than likely it will go to the ceiling.
:Im looking at making still figuring out the exact design and the materials we are going to use defintly the entire front will be glass and ive heard of this stuff like counter tops (melanime??) im going to check into.

:Inside the deffinte part will be that it will have a rock waterfall and a pond at the bottom for her to get into. Ill probably build in a space for her food dishes to set so that the wont be thrown around anymore. Lots of climbing places and resting places, im getting a Radient heat pannel in a couple of months for the enclosure as well. ANy tips or pointers would be appreicated.
