Corn snakes also eat rodents; however, it is recommended that you feed frozen/thawed mice instead of live. Feeding frozen/thawed is much easier and safer than feeding live. You just stick the mouse in a plastic zip-loc baggy and put the baggy in warm/hot water for awhile. (Five minutes will do for pinkie mice, longer for larger ones.) Corns and ball pythons also don't need nearly so much space as an ig. A 20 gallon Long tank is fine for an adult corn.

:What to corn snakes eat? I know Ball pythons eat rodents (Mom said NO WAY!. She likes furry little things. Said said no live food above a cricket.... ~rolls eyes~) but what about corn snakes?

::I don't have any suggestions for other lizards, but I can fill you in a bit on snakes. Not all snakes get so big. Corn snakes and ball pythons are both good beginner's snakes because they are pretty easy to care for (unlike igs!), have an easy going temperament, and they don't get too big. A female corn snake averages about 4 feet when full grown, and the males get somewhat biggger, perhaps 5 feet. Some do get to 6 feet, but these are large specimens. Ball pythons are similar in size. You can take them out to a park or the like when they get big enough. The only problem is that more people are afraid of snakes than iguanas, so you'll probably have fewer people approaching you. Still it would be a good educational experience for those who did. :-)

::PS: I have 2 corn snakes, so if you have questions about them feel free to ask.

::: I like to take My Ig out to educate people about them. He seems to like the attention and all the petting. Doesn't seemed stressed at all. I carry him around with his hip leash on as a precaution. But My Mom seems a bit jealous. :) Sounds silly but She's always trying to take him from me. And I'm also interested in expanding My Herp collection. So here's the question. Does anyone know of another herp that I can take into the public with stress it out? I'm thinking more of a lizard type herp cause Snakes get to big and You can't really take a turtle or Tortoise around on a leash. :P At first I thought maybe a Cham but they are WAY to fragile. Then I thought a Gecko (Which I'm looking into now) but so far I haven't found one suitable for the enviornment that I have (Similar to an Ig since it'll be kept in the same room, NOT CAGE Just room). Any ideas? I appreciate it. :)
