Hmmm, from what I have read of viewing iguanas in the wild, in acres of space, they probably would be together. HOWEVER, not because of love, etc, but basic security (safety in numbers). Young iguanas definately, plus I have heard of adult iguanas maintaining this behavior. (Well, except a couple of alpha males)

Your points on emotional attachments between reptiles I agree with without question :)
