I just took the measurements of the closet I'm tranforming. It's 8'2" Long, 8'1" high (We're subtracting a foot from that for the lights so He'll have access to 7'1" rather then 8), and 2'5" deep. I know it's not the deepest thing in the world but I'm hoping it'll be ok for a fully grown 4' Ig. My neighbors Hickory tree was just destoryed in a wind storm so I'll be getting plenty of wood from them for branchs and such for him to sit on (Hickory is ok for Igs, right?). I'm going to use this stuff like plexi glass (but not plexi glass) that can have holes drilled into it so I can suspend it from the rollers already on the track for the doors. Holes along both top and bottom for air circulation. I'm hoping to even get a misting system in there for humidity. We'll see. There will be a small shallow tub of water anyway. I'd also like to have real plants (I found this one tall grass plant I REALLY liked and thought would look GREAT but I didn't know what it was.. :() in there for him to munch on as well as what I feed him. Any suggestions on good plants to use?? And I'd like to get fake vines for a more natural look. He's gonna be slowly introduced to this new envionment since He's lived most of his life in a cage 4'tall, 3'wide, and 2'deep. I'm planning on moving His whole cage (seeing that it's on wheels) into the new one and just leaving the door open till He's comfortable and leaves His old home on his own. Is there anything else I should do? OH! I'm planning on using tile on the floor and sealing the wall with water tight sealer. Anything else?? Any and all suggestions and/or comments are GREATLY appreciated! :) Thanks!!!
