I hope you don't have a problem with me and my survey. People are just giving their opinions about any type of Mercury Vapor brand they have tried-- and I was going to try to write a few sentences summing up the basics (which is actually proving more difficult than I expected). I think it is great technology, although my numbers show a high failure rate for the top 2 companies' bulbs (not enough numbers on the others). Since you both replace them, it only bares mentioning for the inconvenience factor. Using them properly with good quality equipment is important, but there do seem to be some overheating issues with both bulb types (or bulbs cutting on and off on their own). Most people thought their was some improvement in their animals after using these bulbs which is positive. Factors for not liking them range from safety concerns, to money, to early burnout. The majority of users will purchase these bulb types in the future, however. From what I see, the quality could possibly go up on these products, but the benefits can't be overlooked.
Zoomed should be proud in that nearly everyone that bought these bulbs came from the Zoomed 5.0 light previously (well I guess that means some loss since Active UV accounts for some of those purchases) However, the basic user seems to be knowledgeable and tries to give their herps the top of the line products. I, personally, had to go with T-Rex because you don't have the 100 watt bulb as of yet.
