:Today is our anniversary. It was exactly 3 months ago that my friend Mark, a veterinary surgeon who volunteers at the Humane Society to help out with rescues, brought Amazon to my home a day earlier than expected. S/he was just a skinny little string bean then, all skittish and scared!

:Every day since then, the little greenie growns in size, strength, personality and charm. Now s/he looks more like a juicy dill pickle than a string bean, and while 3 inches shorter than when I first got him due to dropping his tail, he is huge compared to that day! BTW, there is an 1/8 inch of bluish/black tail that has regenerated.
:He loves me too, he painted a picture for me once!

:He also loves a dancer in a TV commercial, a pretty young woman who dances to "Bend Me, Shape Me" while wearing Gap Stretch Jeans. Everytime the ad comes on, he runs to the highest vine in the cage, looks out from the topmost corner, extends his dewlap, and just stares! My iglet is in love. ;-)
:Why shouldn't such a lovely and loving creature have his own pet? Flavia, what would you recommend a South American (probably) iguana name his pretty little purple and white fish? Amazon seems shy about choosing a name.
