That was a wonderful article by Dr. Mader. My vet feels that unless it is warrented, spaying should not be done. Once the iguana shows problems with egging, he reaccesses the issue. As for neutering males, there has been no real proof that it will eliminate the breeding season aggression since that it actually determined by the animal itself often.
One thing i do suggest is freezing of all eggs when produced. This is done to prevent potentially viable eggs from developing.

:I was checking out the Reptiles Magazine site and found a big page about female igs and being gravid and all that stuff. Just thought it was interesting, hoping Rex is a female and i'll hopefully find out Friday at the vet, s/he is getting a checkup.
