Hey everyone... I have been out of touch because one of our chameleons fell very ill at the beginning of the month. We had been force-feeding medicine, a vitamin supplement, worms and crickets with no sign of improvement. Yesterday, the little dear fell from her tree and died while my boyfriend held her. We are both heartbroken. A word to the wise--hook worms are a terrible thing to watch in action.
I asked a while about worming Phil and xta mentioned (I agree) that at this point it would probably do more harm than good. But at this point, I am SUPER paranoid. No changes in behavior or appetite, but it might be time for a visit to the vet??
Also, I have a few questions about beans and the like (particularly lentils). Are they safe, or not worth the trouble? I know that rice is, for the most part, too starchy to be fed consistently. Would lentils, peas, and beans make suitable supplements or should I not waste the time? Thanks for your opinions,
-Lily and Phil
