To those at kingsnake and the aol iggy board: (was better than typing two different messages ;)
I posted about a week ago about my getting an iguana. Today he had his first vet visit. He was a total angel. Barely struggled with her handling him. The only thing he hates is when someone messes with his mouth. Anyway, she said he looked good. Good mouth and color. She says to continue what I've been doing. (ointment for the burns and daily baths as well as mistings) His tail is crooked but she said it's likely due to a past calcium problem. At least it didn't reach his upper spine. I have to wait on the blood test though. The burns are where she would need to take a sample from and she doesn't want mess with it until he's healed. I did get a fecal done though. Came back positive for parasites but I was expecting that. I have to pick up his meds tomorrow. As for that jelly stuff she said it could be due to the way he's healing. Something like that I can't remember her exact words. She took a skin scaping and found no fungal infection. I just want to say she's a great vet. Even had an iggy of her own. Not sure if she still does. (refers to him in the past tense) I know a lot of people have been having problems finding good reptiles vets. I'm glad I've found one. She sees all my animals.
Anyhoo, I've taken pictures of Spot and I hope to have them developed soon. I documented his injuries and such. When I get all that done I'll put them on my site and put a link here.
Thanks for all the help and advice,
Jennifer and Spot
