My igs will panic if they were walking on a street and a car honks or a noisy motocicle comes around or if a real dog arrives!!
Our civilization is very stressing for wild animals like igs!!Its better to keep them protected...indoors!(or in your own garden!!)

:Unless it's illegal to possess them at all where you live, walking them down the street shouldn't be a problem. You may be required to have them on a leash though. However there are other problems to be considered. Just think how much an ig flicks his tongue and tastes things. Now look at all the possible things that he could be tasting! everything from bird and other animals droppings and urine (and whatever parasites or disease that contains), herbicides and poisons that have been sprayed in surrounding areas, cleaning chemicals, tiny peices of broken glass or metal, the possibilities go on and on. I wouldn't chance it. In addition most of the igs I have been around are not really comfortable on the ground in strange surroundings. Trying to walk them like a dog is usually not an option. They tend to go where they want to go whether its where you want to go or not. If you want to take him somewhere carry him and be safe. Save the walking around time for your yard.
