When you say blended up do you mean liquified like babyfood or just cut up really small, If liquified I would think they would definately prefer just coarse cut up so they would have changes in tastes and textures as they feed. It would be like you and I eating enriched oatmeal at every meal every day. Pretty boring after a bit.
