It's NOT catnip. Catnip is an herb that acts on a cat's brain like marijuana acts on a human brain.
Cat grass sprouted oats and such. I am assured that it's okay. I've even done some digging on the web (and consequently completely forgot about my post) One company that sells sprouts and seeds and that stuff recommends it for most pets, mammalian and otherwise. I just thought something living in the tank (that was naturally safe to nibble on) would bring something to the tank. Right now it has a very 'temporary' look to it, know what I mean? But if anyone out there does have a cat, I highly recommend the grass. Mine LOVES it and since he has 'his own' plant, he leaves my houseplants alone!
Blessed be.
