Well, at 4 1/2 yrs old, he is teeny... But he's just a great guy! You can compare the photos, and see his fingers still look really bad. Just about every finger and toe was broken from being in a cage with aluminum window screen for walls.
Now - Whopper has some old MBD stuff too... But I don't think this would make him a "bad" adoption. In fact, I am amazed he has been with us this long! Don't let bad former husbandry scare you away from adopting, just because that particular iguana may not live as long as a baby you get from a petstore. Anyone who has ready the James Hatfield's book will see that even the best care in the whole world sometimes cannot keep an iguana alive and healthy forever.
