:September first marks what we think is Phil's first birthday. He came to me when he was around 4 months old (this is a pretty big guess, but he was pretty tiny. His SVL was about the length of my hand. Now his torso barely fits where his whole head and body used to).
:Anyway, his parietal eye is beginning to develop, and I remember reading Flavia's post about her igs developing theirs around age 1.5 or 2. I can't imagine that Phil would be this old and still be as small as he is. We have taken every possible measure to ensure that he is happy and healthy, and he is growing at a pretty remarkable rate.
:I guess my question is: Does the parietal eye generally develop when an iguana is between 1 1/2 and 2 years old, and does this mean Phil is a bit older than we had first imagined? Or is this just a red herring? Thanks,
