Thanks for posting a pic, xta. Always good to see who you're corresponding with. You and Slee look great.

Bug will be 5 sometime after the first of the year. Along with his irascible temper has come a ravenous appetite. he vacuums up a large, deep dish ceramic pie plate of salad every day, and usually picks it clean as a pin. I figured it up the other day, and its running about $30.00 a month just to feed him. He has shed three times since March, which is pretty unusual for a mature ig.

I wouldn't worry too much about Slee, if you'll remember, I was always mentioning Bug's "salty" attitude. He's never been much of a handling ig, even though I've handled him a great deal. He's always just tolerated it, and I really think he's a little unbalanced, if that's possible for an ig. This is evidenced by the tail biting, and he has also developed a habit of suddenly thrashing around in circles. He's bloodied his snout so many times in the last 6 months that he has a small scar on this right upper lip, now. This is NOT snout rubbing, (a common problem with igs) but rather from lunging and thrashing about wildly without rhyme or reason.

At any rate, he'll always have a loving home ( or, at least, a tolerant home) here with us.

Great to see and hear from you!

Best Regards, John
