You probably already know but iguanas rid themselves of extra salt through their nostrils, quite interesting to watch. They 'sneeze' it out. But a couple of tablespoons seems a bit much for that.....
:Myka got me pretty worried earlier today. I was in her enclosuer patting her and she went to jump to another branch, and she shook her head and a bunch of water came out :S It was probably a couple of tablespoons. It smelled like the bell peppers I had fed her earlier that day. They are on the iguana spot food list...so they are safe, right? Maybe they didn't agree with her stomach. I don't understand where all the water came from, because she hadn't been down to the bottom of her cage all day and I have never ever seen her go near her water dish (I watch her a LOT). Is this anything to worry about? Because I AM worrying!! Thanks for you help! Wendy :)
