A lot of people--and animals--"love" things that aren't good for them. When it comes to animals, especially exotics such as green igs, it is up to us to make sure they get what they need.

Yes: kidney failure, usually fatal, at a relatively young age.
There is no known safe level of animal protein for herbivorous lizards, including the green iguana.
