:The problem I've seen with every Petcompany in my area is that NONE of them are following proper husbandry for igs. I wouldn't have any problem with the hex setups if they were being properly setup and allowing the iguanas to come within 12" of the UV bulbs. They're actually very nice enclosures for sub adults. I think chams would do well in them also. Unfortunately, absolutely ZERO stores around me are setting them up properly. The only reason I bring up the use of Active bulbs is due to the fact that Petcompany has them on their shelves and, so far, refuses to use them for their own animals. The UV throw on the merc vapor bulbs is MUCH greater then any fluo tube and would be much more beneficial to the igs. EVERY setup I've seen so far is absolutely depriving their igs of ANY UVB. And even today, I'm still being told by local "reptile experts" to feed things like chicken, eggs, and crickets to iguanas. Harsh? Absolutely. Justified? At least in my area I think so...And that is based on multiple visits to roughly a dozen stores during the course of a year.

i dont see why they dont just use the good bulbs, they last quite a while and even if the iguanas are "sold quickly" or whatever was stated, the bulbs still good and new reptiles and iguanas can be put under it *after disinfection of tank of course :)* ... its not like it would be unuseable for future things.. just my two cents.
