If the vet is seriously interested in this, find anig that is not currently being exposed to UVB with a merc vapor bulb. Take a blood sample. Have D3 and calcium levels checked and noted. Use a merc vapor bulb on the if for UV exposure for approximately 2-3 weeks and re-test D3 and calcium levels.
