I think Malaysia is just perfect for igs:80% humidity, always warm (temperature varies from 85 to 95), sunny, yet not too much polluted. My igs have good food, lots of direct sunlight, and heat.I hope they will live much more than 20 years!!!

:somewhere between 5-8 years. So assume you have 15-20 years left with him under optimum care...

::According to Melissa Kaplan, his size is= 5 years old. When I bought him (he was in tinny wire cage in a filthy pet street market in Jakarta, Indonesia, with lots of other adult igs.All of them were brownish=from Kalimantan) his "owner"said he was 2 years old. I dont believe anymore because my other 2 years old igs dont have the parietal eye developped yet and when I bought Godzilla he already had a beautiful pink parietal eye!!

:::Im not really too sure. Once they get past a certain size actual age is really hard to give. Even at the suggested sizes on this site, my worst abuse case is the size of a 1 year old iguana. He is actually 7 years old. There are a lot of factors involved in determing a rescue or adult purchase that can throw a wrench into guessing real age. Feeding of animal protien will make an iguana much larger (and appear older), poor husbandry will make an iguana much smaller. My rent an iguana is either 8 or he is 15. We really have no clue. Unfortunatly I know this doesnt help, but give him an age range. Figure he is somewhere around 10-12 or so. Since he was an adult when you got him see if he falls into the chart size wise. Maybe you can put an age on him from when you first got him and go from there.

::::I would like very much to know Godzilla's age.I bought him 3 years ago and he was already an adult. Now, I dont know if he is 5 years old or 15!!Igs dont have white hair or wrinkles so I dont know how to discover the age of an ADULT iguana!!Do you have any idea???Thanks again!!
