So many people get a "cute little iguana" first, and then try to figure out how to keep it healthy. Or worse...don't even really bother. Learn all you can. You will, indeed, find conflicting information out there. The folks on this forum know alot, so read as many of the below posts as you can handle, and keep asking questions. They are great pets, but need more room than most people think about when they first get one. Mine is outside right now in her 6 foot tall summer basking cage. :I'm thinking about getting a green iguana, preferably a young one and i would like to know some basic guidlines about careing for them such as diet,water,cageing,etc.I would also like to know if UV-b lighting is absolutly nessecary because i read a care sheet that says it's not needed if you feed it properly.Thanks for any help
