Hi, It looks like you are already getting plenty of good advice from Haken, Igmomma, Iz mom and L. Stinson. I am in agreement with most all that has been said except your vet. At last count Jeff had performed more than 10 ovariectomies (sp) and had not lost a patient. It is dangerous but it's not a brain transplant.:-) BTW my oldest is a male of 9 years.
