Glad to hear Jade found such a great owner! The Reptisun bulb doesn't put out as much UV but it is a very good bulb that I still use for my bearded dragon. The sunshine will help a lot. When in her cage make sure her basking area is 12" or less from the UV bulb and that it isn't blocked by glass or plastic (this brand needs to be changed every 6months whether it burns out or not...it loses its effectiveness at that point). I don't use calcium everyday, but you should at this point. The vet will tell you whether she needs calcium injections or not. Take in a fresh fecal sample (if you can take it right after she goes it is the most accurate). It is very common for them to have parasites-- especially since you just got her. I still get mine checked a few times per year...and I don't think a year has gone by where he didn't have one thing or another. (which is odd since he is potty trained and kept very clean...beginning to wonder if one of my veggie sources is contaminated?)

Anyway, good luck to you and keep us posted. If you turn around this MBD thing, she should recover without deformaties...how does her jaw look/feel-- if it is rubbery that is another sign. When it gets worse, the top and bottom jaw don't line up anymore.

An awesome book is James Hatfield's Giant Green Iguana Manual-- it is a huge book with a lot of info.

Once again keep posting photos and let us know what's up with Jade.
