Well luckily I live in FL so don't have to worry about snow storms as mentioned below...but I swear that this home loses power more than any other place I've lived in my life!!! Everything from storms, to trees falling, to squirrels getting fried on transformers, to cars crashing into poles-- this neighborhood is a magnet for power trouble! (maybe because it is an old established neighborhood). Our power has gone out for 4 or more hour blocks of time several times--driving us crazy. The lizards will be without light half the day, the a/c won't come on, no computer, tv, or opening the fridge. It kinda sucks. The lack of a/c has to be the worst in 95 degree weather. (last time it happened we were painting our dining room (we finished without light...needless to say their were a lot of touchups to be done from after that day!)
