Iguana Housing ?'s... Am I a little too ambitious?

Hi,
I will soon begin building a bigger cage for my IG, size/ design has yet to be decided. I have a few questions to ask about housing my IG:

* An old friend of mine used to keep his IG with about 12 anoles/long tailed skinks, aside from the iguanas size and potential lethality towards the other lizards, supposing that the IG in question is well behaved, are there any other reasons not to let different species mingle?

* Is there anything wrong with having a small pool (10-20 gal) as a drinking water source/ aquatic habitat with several tetra type fish and some aquatic plants?
