IF you cant get her her the book try printing out care sheets off the net, Make them into a book and make sure you drop them off when she's not home so you have to leav them with her MOM then maybe mom will check them out and get a CLUE. Parents HAVE to be responsible for what animals there kids have, parents that dont AGGRIVATE ME. and YES im a parent to THREE kids.
::Try giving it one more shot to educate her - maybe buy her a copy of James Hatfield's "Green Iguana:The Ultimate Owner's Manual" to nudge her in the right direction and if nothing happens in short order then try looking for animal control or animal cruelty investigators that would pursue cruelty charges against her. Sorry, but short of taking on the responsibility of an iguana yourself that's the best I can recommend. Some people simply should not keep reptiles or any animal for that matter....
:Maybe next year for her birthday I could get her a copy of that book. I can't take the animal myself anyway because I have a beardie who does not like other animals in "his" room, and I don't have nearly enough room for it. She is a pretty good friend, and I think she would know who said it if I called up animal control. I don't think she told her parents when she first got it how big it was going to get, cause her mom refused to have a cage taller then her, even though it is what it needed.
