You'll find my newly revised 79-page Iguana Care Feeding & Socialization article at my site. That will give you information on proper set up and diet, among many other things. You'll find that and lots of other information at the Iguana and Herp care sections of my reorganized site.
You will also find information in the Pet Trade section of the site on reptile giveaways at fairs and carnivals. It is actually illegal in many states, or legal only when the fair or vendor actually provide state-mandated health information (note: that is health, not captive care, information). So, there may well be steps that you can take to get the giveaway stopped.
No matter how healthy the little guy looks, you still need to get him checked out by a reptile vet. You'll find lists at my site, too. ;)
