The digging around does make it sound as if she is gravid rather than constipated (or blocked with a foreign object), though the latter can also cause restlessness and crabbiness.

If she is gravid, and you haven't prepared her for it, you should get her to the reptile vet both to confirm her condition and, if she is gravid, to find out what her serum calcium is. If she doesn't test out into the low hyPERcalcemic range, she is actually suffering from gravidity-induced calcium deficiency which will lead to problems in laying her eggs.

Gravid igs also tend to get dehydrated because they aren't eating or drinking enough to get enough water, so get fluids into her.
