I'm not sure what you can do with big stuff. I tried pouring boiling water over them. I even went so far as to drag them into the bath tub and scrub the dickens out of them with a scrub brush, much to my Lady's amusement! I had the cleanest branches in town! Didn't matter. About a month later I started noticing these beetles in Zok's water tub. Then there were these little flying critters that look sort of like an anorexic bee. But apparently harmless since I keep smashing them with my fingers. I found a bit of what looked like sawdust in the cage and discovered tiny holes that the bugs had apparently bored out from inside of the wood. They don't seem to bother the Ig and just basically bug me (sorry couldn't resist!)by being there.
