Hi- Yes I know its crazy. I have been grasping at straws myself. She is located in a fairly empty room with a large floor to ceiling window. I thought maybe something outside was bothering her, but nothing had changed and when I covered the window for a two week period her behaviour didn't change.

When she is bobbing her head she is almost looking out in space...not the look in her eye just the direction i mean. I have tried standing behind her best I could to "see what she sees" but I see nothing, no reflection no nothing. Almost like she sees something different in certain places in thin air. I know it sounds crazy but I am not crazy :) I have tried everything I can think of this two months so far. Even the weridest suggestions!!!

Actually its funny you bring up iguana schizophrenia, I have actually been thinking this must be a mental disease or disorder at this point. When you see her behaviour its very reminisant (sp) of that sort of thing. Like looking out in space, seeing things that aren't there, unexplainable aggresion etc.

What I am really worried about now is the upcoming breeding season. If she doesn't start eating and putting on weight now I have no idea how a 7 year old iguana will make it through being gravid. And here is Canada spaying her is about 1200.00 and I am afriad to go through it if she actually is having mental issues or other problems and they get worse or not better at all.

:All I can think of is something must have changed in her enviroment and you just don't realize it. Unless there is some form of iguana schizophrenia, then that seems the only plausible answer. Are you sure you can think of nothing you may have inadvertantly changed, such as maybe moving something in the room she resides, or have you started a job at which you work longer or different hours? I'm grasping at straws here, but it has to be something, because iguanas don't go crazy without provocation, usually.

:Good Luck, and keep us updated,
