:What are the signs that a female ig is going to lay eggs??

Females will begin their breeding/egging season with an increase of appetite. That tends to last about 1 month. During the second month she will slowly lose her appetite as the eggs expand in her belly. You will notice that her belly looks 'Lumpy'. You should be able to see the outline of eggs in her belly. Also around the beginning of the second month you will notice that she will begin digging. She will seem frantic in her digging. When this begins, offer her a lay box. What works nicely for this are the covered kitty litter pans. Mix some virgin soil with water. Virgin soil is soil without plant food, pesticides ect... You want virgin. You may also mix in some vermiculite or sphagnum moss. Make the soil mixture damp. You do not want mud but a damp consistancy. Change the soil once or twice over the month. She will hopefully lay with in 8-10 weeks of intial behavior change. For more info on egg laying check out the below link for tons of articles.
