what ever your feelings are on these groups, alternator hits it on the head about the politics of monies given/spent. I was told by a representitive and read in one pet trade magazine the funds are spent mostly the way alternator said. I was told a MEASLY 1 &1/2 % of all monies by PETA was for the cause! In my opinion it is a downright scam like given to the telemarketing firms that call you on the phone with the sob story that your donation will go to police families or fire fighter families of the fallen victims. the victims are the people that donate money to all of these agencies.

: :Please do not give any monies or support the so called animal rights groups. These groups press for laws to restrict or even outlaw the capture & or keeping of not only large or venemous snakes, but all reptiles in general is being pushed by animal rights organizations like PETA. Peta not only is against Hunting & Fishing, but Reptile hunting/collecting as well. They intice so many people to give to them to "save" the wildlife. A big part of their donated monies are fueled to pay salaries, run more anti-animal use ads, & lobby legislators into voting their way. The money really never helps anything except the existance of PETA. I bet alot of the members & staff of PETA still eat fast food burgers & wear leather shoes if the truth was known. Don't give to PETA, its not helping wildlife like it says it does!.....My thoughts........alternator
