Well don't count on it...if you built a good cage and they like it, sometimes that is their favorite place! It is theirs and they feel safe and warm there. Some say to put the food low to encourage exercise but out of sight out of mind. I rigged my dishes up to the top shelf and Slee eats like a pig.
