that was high up in the tail. By touch, the tail below the break was always much cooler than above it. The blood circulation to the tail below the break was compromised and he kept getting major infections in his tail. After months on antibiotics and getting him healed up the infection returned once again. We had no choice but to amputate the tail to prevent further infection. Here's a photo of one of the infections in the healing process.
